Julia has been at Wolvish pretty well since it’s inception. She has been a support system for all: members and coaches alike. She is determined and dedicated to her own development, inside and outside the gym.
Matthew Wells joined the gym way back. He was one of those guys who just got what we were doing and trusted every move forward. His experience with fitness was like mine: 5 day splits, get swole, arms every day?
We are happy to announce that moving forward beginning in August, we will be publishing a monthly blog / interview with the "Athlete of the Month" (AOTM).
Rollin Rx - August 2017
It's January 2016, and we all start to plan out our training for the upcoming year.
Crossfitters are gearing up for the Open. Coaches, trainers, and gym owners begin to plot out the year. It’s an exciting time. New beginnings bring about new possibilities, and in the world of fitness, we all know what that means…..we’re all setting out to hit bigger lifts, improve benchmarks and increase our fitness capacity…..wait…isn’t that what we do every year…ugh yeah…?
The 2015 CrossFit Open brought about more excitement and development than last year, which leads me to believe it will only get more fun and competitive in the future.
The Open is a little more than three months away and people are starting to talk about it.
If you took part in an organized sports team or anything that required some sort of structured development program, you probably practiced said skill set SLOWLY.
You’ve heard me say this time and time again, right before a WOD. “set goals for yourselves..get your 5, get your 10, maybe get those 20 reps done before you put that bar down”. During a WOD, it is the mind that will ultimately determine ones ability to hit those markers.
